This webinar – scheduled for November 17, 2026, at 1 pm ET (12 pm CT, 11 am MT, 10 am PT) – is eligible for ACMPE, ACHE (live only), CPE (live only), PDC (live only) and CEU credit, and will be made available as a recording.

Most medical groups are investing in more technology to improve patient access- online scheduling, AI voice agents, two-way texting, digital waitlists. Yet a new national survey of 416 medical practice leaders by MGMA and Relatient reveals a striking paradox: practices using the most access tools were no more likely to improve than those using the fewest.

What actually separates practices gaining ground? Coordination. High-coordination practices, those with consistent scheduling rules, current provider templates, and clear handoffs across every channel, were nine times more likely to report improved access than low-coordination practices. The same gap held true for AI users. Mid-size groups with 21–75 physicians fared worst of all, with just 6% reporting improvement despite using more tools than their smaller peers.

In this webinar, Relatient's Chief Product Officer will unpack the survey findings and what they mean for how medical groups should think about their access infrastructure. A specialty practice leader will then share a firsthand case study on how they applied the principles of coordinated, intelligent access  and the measurable results that followed.

This 60-minute webinar will provide you with the knowledge to:

    • Examine national survey data revealing why tool count alone fails to predict access improvement — and what coordination factors actually drive results across practices of all sizes
    • Organize the operational building blocks of an intelligent access model, including scheduling rule governance, provider template management, and AI handoff design, and assess where gaps may exist in their own organization
    • Prepare real-world strategies from a specialty practice’s patient access transformation to prioritize practical, high-impact improvements in their own scheduling infrastructure
