Healthcare is a demanding field. The goals of the Triple Aim — better individual care, better population health and lower per-capita costs — have physicians often working harder and longer with fewer resources, creating an environment conducive to burnout.

Successful healthcare leaders and organizations must be able to recognize the signs of burnout, understand the causes, reduce it and create strategies to eliminate it.
