MGMA statement on concerns regarding ONC's implementation of 21st Century Cures Act

"MGMA joined with several leading healthcare organizations urging congressional leaders to ensure ONC appropriately implements the bipartisan 21st Century Cures Act. While medical groups are eager to reap the benefits of health data interoperability, we are concerned that the recent ONC proposed rule does not adhere to the intent of this landmark legislation. Moving too far too fast will add unnecessary administrative burden on medical groups and put the confidentiality of patient records at risk."
