MGMA statement on the introduction of Cures 2.0
Anders Gilberg
Senior Vice President, Government Affairs
Medical Group Management Association
"The Medical Group Management Association (MGMA) appreciates the introduction of the bipartisan Cures 2.0 legislation by Representatives Diana DeGette (D-CO) and Fred Upton (R-MI), which builds momentum for modernizing telehealth services within Medicare. By removing the geographic and originating site restrictions, as well as allowing for the expansion of eligible telehealth providers, we can ensure improved access to telehealth services for Medicare beneficiaries nationwide. MGMA looks forward to continuing its work with Congress on expediting the passage of legislation that allows greater flexibility in telehealth delivery, increasing vulnerable populations’ ability to obtain necessary patient care."
