MGMA Stat - digital health services - Jun. 27, 2017

Medical Group Management Association’s MGMA Stat poll asked healthcare professionals if the doctors they see personally offer digital health services. Only 18 percent of the respondents indicated having a personal physician who offered telemedicine, remote care, or other advanced technology. However, for the 74 percent of the respondents who indicated their personal physicians did not offer digital health services, almost half (49 percent) indicated they would use the services if offered and another 12 percent indicated they may use such services.

For the respondents, whose physicians currently offer digital health, 37 percent indicated their physicians were primary care and another 28 percent indicated they have multiple physicians offering digital health services.

The poll was conducted on June 27, 2017 with 1400 total responses. Of this total, 13 indicated the question was not applicable to their situation with a net of 1387 applicable responses.

MGMA Stat is a national poll that addresses practice management topics, the impact of new legislation, and related topics. Participation is open to all healthcare professionals. Results of other polls and information on how to participate in MGMA Stat is available at:
