Jimmy Smith currently serves as the Director of Operations for Baylor Scott & White Health, supporting the Department of Anesthesia. In this role, he oversees operations across four hospitals and two pain clinics in Temple, Killeen, and Waco, Texas.

In partnership with surgical and perioperative leadership, Jimmy has helped drive four consecutive years of record-breaking surgical volumes, all while navigating critical anesthesia staffing challenges. Before his current role, he led the development of an in-house telemedicine program that expanded statewide access to care through both asynchronous visits and an on-demand video visit clinic.

Jimmy earned his Master of Business Administration from Baylor University and his Bachelor of Science in Finance from Texas A&M University. He is a Fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives (FACHE) and an active member of the Texas Hospital Association.

Outside of work, Jimmy enjoys life with his wife, Lauren, a Physician Assistant in Dermatology, and their two sons, Stone (10) and Slade (8). He spends his free time coaching his boys’ sports teams, hunting and fishing, and exploring the outdoors on family adventures.
