On February 11th, MGMA member and incoming board chair Jeffrey W. Smith, CPA, CGMA, MBA, FACME testified before the U.S. Senate Special Committee on Aging during the hearing, "The Doctor Is Out: How Washington's Rules Drove Physicians out of Medicine." His testimony highlighted the impact of regulatory burden and financial challenges on physician burnout and emphasized the need for payment and administrative reform.
