    ------------------------------------------------------------

This webinar – scheduled for July 14, 2026, at 1 pm ET (12 pm CT, 11 am MT, 10 am PT) – is eligible for ACMPE, ACHE (live only), CME (live only), CPE (live only), PDC (live only) and CEU credit, and will be made available as a recording.

As medical groups navigate mounting operational pressures, shifting care models, and intensifying competition for top clinical talent, the demand for effective physician leaders continues to grow. Physician executives are being asked to drive strategy, lead teams, manage financial performance, and engage their provider colleagues — often without clear authority, adequate preparation, or compensation models that reflect the scope of their contribution. The result is a growing misalignment between what organizations expect and what they have actually built. This gap is especially pronounced for physicians navigating the transition from clinical practice into executive roles.

Drawing on national data and real-world experience, panelists will examine how the needs of physician executives have evolved, where organizations are falling short, and what leading groups are doing differently across these key areas: role design, dyad and triad leadership structures, compensation models, leadership development, and recruitment and retention. If you are building or evaluating your leadership infrastructure, this session offers practical, actionable frameworks you can apply regardless of your organization's size or stage.

This 60-minute webinar will provide you with the knowledge to:

    • Assess the key components of physician executive role design — including scope of authority, dyad and triad leadership structures, and accountability models — and the gaps within your organization
    • Compare your physician executive compensation approach against MGMA national benchmarks and identify opportunities to better align pay with the evolving scope of leadership responsibilities
    • Evaluate factors that drive recruitment and retention challenges for physician executives, including competency fit, the clinician-to-executive transition, and the role of leadership development in reducing misalignment and turnover
