The ability of a healthcare organization to implement a new technological platform, especially one that interfaces with both providers and patients, is a feat in and of itself; but it is another thing to be able to sustain it. In this case study, the Thomas Koritz Clinic faced the challenge of sustaining a platform called MiCare, a patient secure messaging service. By utilizing process improvement tools, the clinic was able to improve enrollment and reach its goal.
