MGMA Employee Benefits When you work for MGMA, your benefits are an important piece of the overall compensation package and are designed to support your needs. 401(K) Plan Employees are eligible to participate in our 401(k) plan with Fidelity the 1st of the month following date of hire. They can choose among a variety of investment options and defer up to the IRS maximum. After six months of service, MGMA matches up to 4%. With eligibility, employees are 100% vested in both employee and employer contributions. Compressed Work Week Employees may be eligible for a 9/80 schedule with every other Friday off. Defined Contribution Plan In addition to the 401(k) plan, employees are eligible for the defined contribution plan after completing one year of service and 1,000 hours. This plan has a graduated vesting schedule of 25% per year with full vesting after completing the fourth year with MGMA. Our goal is to make an annual contribution for every eligible employee. Fitness Center Our fitness center includes treadmills, ellipticals, stationary bikes, and free weights. Flexible Spending Accounts Employees may set aside up to $2,600 per year on a pre-tax basis for unreimbursed health care expenses (medical, dental & vision) and $5,000 for dependent care and adoption assistance. In addition, health and dental insurance premiums are set up as pre-tax deductions. FMLA MGMA is an FMLA eligible employer. More Information Health, Dental and Vision Insurance Full coverage begins on the first of the month following date of hire. Coverage is provided by UnitedHealthcare, Delta Dental of Colorado and VSP. Life Insurance Coverage begins on the first of the month following date of hire. Employees are granted insurance equivalent to two times their annual base salary, with a maximum benefit of $500,000. Employees also may purchase supplemental life insurance for themselves and their dependents. Long-term Disability Once eligible, this coverage provides 60 percent of salary subject to a $13,000 monthly maximum benefit if the employee is determined to be disabled. Pet Insurance Employees can purchase pet insurance through Nationwide at a discounted rate. Professional Development Employees are encouraged to pursue professional certifications in their career field and take advantage of other professional development opportunities. Sick/Medical Leave Sick time is accrued each month and can be carried over each year up to a maximum of 60 days. Telework Teleworking is available to all management and designated exempt employees whose positions are conducive to telework arrangements. Tuition Assistance After one year of service, the Association will reimburse up to the IRS maximum of $5,250 each fiscal year. Vacation/Holidays All employees start with three weeks of paid vacation each year and currently enjoy 11 paid holidays. Wellness Program MGMA values the health and wellness of all employees and is proud to be named a Health Champion by the American Diabetes Association. Our program includes an on-site health fair and a variety of wellness activities. Participants in our wellness program are eligible for incentive prizes during the year. Volunteer/Giving Program MGMA values giving back to the community and holds an annual giving campaign and provides volunteer opportunities for employees throughout the year.
