The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) Innovation Center recently announced a new value-based care model, LEAD, scheduled to launch on January 1, 2027. LEAD will serve as a successor to ACO REACH and maintain core elements such as partial and full-risk participation options but also offer new opportunities such as CMS Administered Risk Arrangements (CARA).
