MGMA Stat poll shows majority of healthcare leaders feel at least somewhat burnt out at their job

The Medical Group Management Association’s most recent MGMA Stat poll asked healthcare leaders if they feel burnt out at their job. While many respondents (45%) indicated that, yes, they feel burnt out, the majority feel they were “somewhat” burnt out (28%) or reported, “no,” they do not feel burnt out at their job (28%).

The poll was conducted on June 26, 2018, with 1,746 total responses. Kenneth T. Hertz, FACMPE, principal, MGMA Consulting, provides additional insight and tips to combat burnout in his article, “Guarding against burnout in your practice.”

MGMA Stat is a national poll that addresses practice management topics, the impact of new legislation and related issues. Participation is free and available to all healthcare leaders.
