Columbia Basin Health Association (CBHA) was challenged by aged and disconnected facilities that limited its ability to provide a full scope of services to the local population. Using quality-focused design principles, CBHA created a state-of-the-art outpatient environment that fosters care team collaboration and maximizes resource utilization. The facility was carefully planned with workflow optimization and technology integration in mind, linking the organization’s patient safety and quality agenda with improving patient satisfaction and throughput efficiencies.
A real-time locating system (RTLS) integrated with illuminated panels conveys patient visit status, further linking the organization’s patient safety and quality agenda. In-the-moment visual cues and data enable staff to make patient visits more pleasant, improving patient satisfaction and access.

Learning level: Intermediate – Education that builds on a basic curriculum, designed to improve your ability to analyze and apply skills learned to a topic or knowledge area.
Learning format: Traditional 
Prerequisites: A basic understanding of the topic or knowledge area.
Advance preparation: None
Duration: 60 minutes
Claiming Credit:
If you wish to claim continuing education credit, you must first attend the webinar and pass the associated exam with a score of 80% or higher.
Registration is required for BOTH the webinar and the exam.
  • ACMPE, medical practice administrators in certification and Fellowship through ACMPE
    • Exam must be completed no later than: March 4, 2021
  • ACHE, American College of Healthcare Executives Qualified Education
    • Exam must be completed no later than: March 4, 2021
  • CEU, generic continuing education credit
    • Exam must be completed no later than: March 4, 2021            
After you register for the exam, instructions on how to access the exam will be emailed to you. 
Team Participation:
Participants who want to claim continuing education credit must be individually registered for the webinar and subsequent exam. If registered participants attend as a team, the person who launched the webinar will need to email a list (first and last names) of all participants to after the webinar has concluded. Each participant will be required to complete the exam under his/her own account.

American College of Medical Practice Executives (ACMPE)
This program is approved as a live learning event for ACMPE continuing education hours. A cumulative total of 50 ACMPE continuing education credit hours is among the requirements for attaining the Certified Medical Practice Executive (CMPE) credential. To maintain CMPE or Fellow status, you must earn 50 hours of qualifying credit hours every three years, of which 30 hours must come from MGMA national, state or local offerings, including 12 from a live learning event.

ACHE Qualified Education
By attending the Outpatient Design: Using Data to Improve Patient Access and Satisfaction webinar offered by the Medical Group Management Association, participants may earn up to 1 ACHE Qualified Education Hour toward initial certification or recertification of the Fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives (FACHE) designation.
One ACHE credit is earned for every 60 minutes of educational content, rounded down to the nearest 0.25.
Continuing Education Units (CEU)
A certificate of attendance will be provided to healthcare professionals requesting generic CEUs for professional development, certifications through other professional associations or specialty societies.

Dulcye Field, CMPE, CPHQ, is the former chief operating officer at Columbia Basin Health Association. In this position she was responsible for clinical operations and quality. Field has 15 years of experience in healthcare, including extensive experience in project execution, improvement of clinical workflows and improvement of clinical quality outcome measures. She recently joined The Neenan Company as vice president of business development. In this new role, Field will leverage her clinical expertise to aid healthcare organizations seeking to redesign their care delivery environments.

Allen Foucht, BSN, RN, CLSSMBB, is the senior engagement manager for consulting at Midmark. Foucht is an experienced senior consultant with a 30-year history of working in many aspects of healthcare, including patient care, post-acute services and administration. At Midmark, he uses data, insight, experience, technology and process to improve patient experience, rethink patient flow and delivery of care. Foucht leverages his expertise in all aspects of implementing, managing and obtaining results of Six Sigma, Lean and other process transformation activities.

Live Instructor Exam Refund Policy
Exam cancellation requests must be received prior to the start time of the live program to be eligible for a full refund. Fees cannot be refunded after the live program has started.
