Continuing Education Information

Learning Level: Advanced – Education that builds on an intermediate curriculum, designed to help you synthesize and evaluate complex concepts to create outcomes-based solutions.
Prerequisites: Completion of one of the following, Lean Six Sigma White Belt, or Lean Six Sigma Yellow Belt, or completion of another Lean program (instructor approval required)

Claiming Credit
If you wish to claim continuing education credit, you must first attend the live instructor lead weekly online sessions, complete all eLearning modules, complete all required homework and projects and pass the associated exam(s).
Registration is required for BOTH the webinar and the exam.

Team Participation:
Participants who want to claim continuing education credit must be individually registered for the course. If registered participants attend the live online sessions as a team, the person who launched the program will need to email a list (first and last names) of all participants to
continuinged@mgma.com after the webinar has concluded. Each participant will be required to complete the remaining course work under his/her own account.
Official Continuing Education Statements and Availability
American College of Medical Practice Executives (ACMPE)
This program is approved for ACMPE continuing education hours. A cumulative total of 50 ACMPE continuing education credit hours is among the requirements for attaining the Certified Medical Practice Executive (CMPE) credential. To maintain CMPE or Fellow status, you must earn 50 hours of qualifying credit hours every three years, of which 30 hours must come from MGMA national, state or local offerings, including 12 from a live learning event.

One ACMPE credit is earned for every 60 minutes of educational content, rounded down to the nearest 0.25.
Continuing Education Units (CEU)
A certificate of attendance will be provided to healthcare professionals requesting generic CEUs for professional development, certifications through other professional associations or specialty societies.

During this course, two Black Belt Lean Six Sigma facilitators experienced in group practice management will conduct weekly conference calls and question-and-answer sessions with the participants and will be available on the discussion board and through email.
The facilitator’s professional experiences will provide you with expert insight and enhance your online learning experience. Each week the facilitator will grade weekly homework assignments and quizzes and provide feedback as well as conduct a weekly question-and-answer discussion webinar.
In order to meet the class requirements, you must participate in weekly webinar discussions, review the video material, take an exam and turn in homework assignments. This interaction gives you the additional advantage of networking with fellow students and provides you with additional perspectives and support.
The format? Engaging, up-to-date content focused on healthcare designed to maximize learning:
- Multimedia, videos and animation, Adobe Connect webinar discussion sessions
- Interactive quizzes and real-life problem-solving scenarios
- Identification of learning gaps and additional resources to close those gaps
- The ability to take notes within the course platform and print for future reference
To provide you with maximum scheduling flexibility, this course is divided into several short segments, allowing you to complete the weekly modules at your convenience. Each weekly class is approximately one hour.
Due to the content and the project requirements, this course has the following weekly requirements:
- A weekly webinar discussion every Tuesday at 6:00 pm EST (UTC-4; 5:00 pm CST, 4:00 pm MST, 3:00 pm PST). Convert to your time zone.
- Weekly quizzes following the lectures
- Homework assignments, culminating in a project implementation by the end of the ten-week session

Refund/Cancellation Policy
MGMA must receive all eLearning courses cancellation requests no later than 48 hours prior to the start of the program to be eligible for a full refund minus a $75 setup cost. Fees cannot be refunded once a program has been started or completed.

Cancellation
If for any reason MGMA must cancel this program, MGMA will notify participants by email of the cancellation no less than 48 hours prior to the cancellation of the program. Full registration fees will be refunded in full within 90 days of the cancellation.
