Thirty percent of malpractice claims are related to miscommunication, according to a study by research firm CRICO Strategies. The study, which evaluated claims filed over a four-year period, specifically noted lack of documentation as one of the overwhelming reasons for miscommunication in healthcare. Practices have solutions for documentation, but issues persist resulting in malpractice claims specifically as they relate to after-hours patient care. By adopting better after-hours documentation practices, providers can alleviate concern of malpractice claims and focus on providing the best patient care. After attending this session, participants will be able to identify vulnerabilities for after-hours malpractice claims at their practice and walk away with tactics to comprehensively document after-hours patient treatment.

This 60-minute webinar will provide you with the knowledge to:

  • Discuss vulnerabilities to after-hours-related malpractice claims
  • Identify tactics to minimize your practice’s risk for malpractice suits
  • Recognize how to improve after-hours documentation practices
