News & Insights 2018 QPP performance data released Washington Connection Quality Payment Program Sign in to save January 9, 2020: This week, the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) published the final 2018 performance results for the Quality Payment Program (QPP). A review of the 2018 QPP performance data can be found on the agency’s blog post. The agency will release a more detailed analysis of 2018 reporting in the coming months. According to the data: 98% of eligible clinicians participated in MIPS in 2018— up from 95% in 2017; 98% of eligible clinicians exceeded the performance threshold score of 15 points to receive a positive payment adjustment— up from 93% in 2017; and 356,353 clinicians participated in MIPS through APMs— up from 341,220 in 2017. As a reminder to MGMA members, the 2019 data submission period is now open until 8:00 pm EDT on March 31 through the QPP website. Members are also encouraged to take this time to use the QPP website to check initial 2020 MIPS eligibility.
