When dealing with any patient data, there are few matters more serious than fraud prevention, authenticity and provenance. As a few are finding out, the very core of blockchain’s functionality checks all these boxes. Add in its inherent ability to track sequential history, and all the sudden we have a system that forces compliance with, and acknowledgement of, any patient’s medical history. Blockchain forces everyone onto the same page, and seemingly all for the benefit of the patient and customer.

It can also organize, and more valuably, meet the volume demands of the $2 trillion business of healthcare-related payments being moved between payers and providers.
