MGMA18 Annual Conference Financial Disclosure Notification

Claiming Credit: 
If you wish to claim continuing education credit, you must first view the recorded session and pass the associated exam with a score of 80% or higher. 
  • ACMPE, medical practice administrators in certification and Fellowship through ACMPE
    • Credit must be requested no later than: Feb. 1, 2020
  • AAPC, Certified professional coders and other AAPC designations 
    • Credit must be requested no later than: March 31. 2019
  • CME, Licensed physicians (MD/DO) 
    • Credit must be requested no later than: Feb. 1, 2020
  • CEU, generic continuing education unit 
    • Credit must be requested no later than: Feb. 1, 2020

Exams are included with the recordings and can be found at the end of the recorded session. 

Team: 
Participants who want to claim continuing education credit must be individually registered for the recorded session. If participants would like to view the recorded sessions as a team using one person’s log-in credentials, the person who launched the program will need to email a list (first and last names) of all participants to continuinged@mgma.com. MGMA will mark these individuals’ status as “completed” within five business days to allow each team participant to claim his or her desired continuing education credit.

Team participation is not allowed to claim CME credit for this program.

LEARNING FORMATS

Traditional
Traditional sessions feature either a speaker sharing his or her knowledge in a lecture-style presentation or a panel of speakers with a moderator facilitating a discussion. Traditional sessions include limited question-and-answer time with the audience.

Interactive
An expert facilitator guides participants through interactive learning formats such as hot topic discussions and case study applications, all designed to foster the sharing of ideas, solutions and best practices.

Extended
The extended learning format is designed for in-depth education about a variety of important practice management topics. Extended sessions are 90 to 150 minutes in length and combine traditional and interactive elements.

ACMPE
American College of Medical Practice Executives (ACMPE):


Continuing Education credit hours is among the requirements for advancement to Certified Medical Practice Executive (CMPE) status. You may receive credit for continuing education taken up to one month prior to your nominee acceptance date. Once you have advanced to CMPE or Fellow status, you must earn and submit 50 hours of qualifying credit hours every three years to maintain your designation. All members are on the same three-year cycle. The current cycle began January 1, 2016, and concludes December 31, 2018. The new cycle begins January 1, 2019, and concludes December 31, 2021.MGMA will calculate a prorated requirement for CMPEs who advance after the beginning of a cycle. Be sure to check your transcript regularly to see how many hours you still need to fulfill. One ACMPE credit is earned for every 60 minutes of educational contact, rounded down to the nearest 0 .25.



American Academy of Professional Coders (AAPC): This program has the prior approval of AAPC for continuing education hours. Granting of prior approval in no way constitutes endorsement by AAPC of the program content or the program sponsor.

One AAPC credit is earned for every 60 minutes of educational content, rounded down to the nearest 0.25 or as determined by AAPC.


ACCME
Physician Continuing Medical Education:


This activity has been planned and implemented in accordance with the accreditation requirements and policies of the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME) The Medical Group Management Association in accredited by the ACCME to provide continuing medical education for physicians. The Medical Group Management Association designates this internet activity enduring  material for 6 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits™. Physicians should claim credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity. One CME credit is earned for every 60 minutes of educational content, rounded down to the nearest 0.25.


Continuing education units (CEU):

Generic CEU certificates of attendance are available to registered attendees for each session that they attend. One CEU credit is earned for every 60 minutes of educational contact, rounded down to the nearest 0.25.
