GENERAL QUESTIONS
Who attends Medical Practice Excellence: Leaders Conference? Attendees and presenters will include executive and operational leaders from health systems and medical practices of all sizes. Early-stage careerists are encouraged to attend but should understand that the content and challenges discussed will be aimed at those in leadership roles.
What is MGMA’s COVID-19 vaccination policy? WhMGMA encourages all Medical Practice Excellence: Leaders Conference participants to be vaccinated and boosted; however, in response to COVID-19 mitigation measures being relaxed by the CDC, this is no longer a requirement. MGMA still strongly recommends all participants at face-to-face events be fully vaccinated and those that feel unwell should participate in the Digital Experience, Nov. 8-11, 2022.
Why is MGMA not mandating masks? Masks are recommended for attendees. MGMA will closely monitor local, state and national guidance to guide any further safety protocols.
What if I have additional questions? MGMA will continue to update this website and provide additional communications to attendees and exhibitors; please check back regularly. If you have additional questions please contact service@mgma.com for attendee questions or exhibitors@MGMA.org for exhibitor questions.

What is the Event Cancellation Policy? MGMA reserves the right to cancel an event due to low enrollment or other circumstances which would make the event non-viable. HOTEL AND LOCATION INFORMATION
How can I book a hotel? MGMA has partnered with 4 hotels for the conference. To see what the discounted nightly rate is for each hotel, go to our Location page. In order to book a hotel, you must first be registered for MPE Leaders Conference. During the registration process, you will be asked to book your hotel. This is the only place you will receive the housing discount.
Is there a credit card required when I book my hotel? All hotel reservations require a valid credit card number to guarantee your room. You will be charged one night’s stay if you cancel after the specific hotel’s cancellation cutoff. Any changes or cancellation to your hotel reservation can be made with the MGMA Housing Bureau through September 16, 2022. Any changes after this date must be made directly through the hotel. Rates do not include city and/or state sales tax. Applicable taxes may apply; please check specific hotel for details.
What is the hotel cancellation policy? Your designated hotel may charge your credit card a deposit equal to the first night room rate plus tax on or after Oct. 9, 2022. Deposit will be forfeited if you do not check in on your scheduled arrival date or do not cancel 48 hours prior to arrival, and your room will be released by the hotel. Be sure to verify checkout dates at check-in as an early checkout may result in an early departure fee.
Why should I book within the MGMA Housing block? Staying at one of the official conference hotels allows MGMA to negotiate better rates in the cities you want to meet in and helps MGMA keep registration costs down. When booking through the official housing block, you’re supporting the Association by avoiding fees that result from significant sections of the room block being reserved but left unfilled or canceled at the time of the conference. If MGMA does not achieve a minimum number of overnight accommodations, the process of service will increase registration fees for future programs.
DIGITAL EXPERIENCE (DX) QUESTIONS
If I register for the Digital pass, will I be able to take part in onsite programming? No. The digital experience is unique to that environment. It is not a duplication or livestream of the onsite programming. Specifically, we’re tailoring the content to optimize the value for all digital participants.
For those who are attending in Boston, engaging in the digital environment will amplify your experience when you purchase a full conference In-Person & Digital Pass. You’ll be able to network and learn with digital attendees.
Note: There may be some slight overlap with special in-person education or keynotes being broadcast. Programming will be published soon.
How can I attend MPE Leaders Conference DX? There are two paths to engage:
Register with a full conference In-Person & Digital Experience to attend in San Diego and receive complimentary access to some digital programming. You’ll amplify your onsite networking and learning with healthcare thought leaders.
Register to attend with the Digital Only Pass. You’ll receive the caliber of programming you expect from the HIMSS global health conference, tailored for online networking and learning.
