COVID-19 Update

Everyone has felt the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic, whether physically, emotionally or financially. For our industry – our members, partners and healthcare professionals – we see and feel the hardships and devastation this pandemic has caused. We are incredibly grateful to everyone who is working to ensure their patients and staff are safe and cared for during this unprecedented time.

As of now, the Medical Practice Excellence Conference will continue as planned Oct. 18-21, 2020., in San Antonio, Texas.

We will be taking every precaution as outlined in all CDC, WHO and task force recommendations regarding the safety, sanitation and security of our attendees. We are working very closely with all of our partners, suppliers and venues to ensure the highest measures of safety.

On June 3, 2020, the Governor of Texas, Governor Abbot, released an updated order allowing indoor venues to open to meetings and events at up to 50 percent occupancy, effective immediately. The order includes safety guidelines and limits for venues. A summary regarding these directives and limits can be found here. The office also released a checklist for minimum standard for health protocols for all employers and event organizers.

Your health and safety is of the utmost importance to MGMA and we will continue to work together with our San Antonio venue contacts, partners, planners and you to create a safe environment for all.
