Beginning Jan. 1, 2021, the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) will implement changes to Medicare physician payment, including reimbursement updates and changes to value-based initiatives. 
 
Join MGMA government affairs staff for a preview of what to look for in 2021. Attendees will gain insights about payment and documentation changes for E/M office visits and other payment issues outlined in the Medicare Physician Fee Schedule final rule. Additionally, the “2021 Medicare Outlook” will provide details about Merit-based Incentive Payment System (MIPS) reporting requirements and alternative payment model (APM) participation options for 2021, including MGMA’s continuing efforts to improve both tracks and reduce the regulatory burden on physician group practices. 
 
This 75-minute webinar will provide you with the knowledge to:

Claiming Credit: If you wish to claim continuing education credit, you must attend the live webinar or if you watch the recording, respond to the integrated polls in order to meet the interactivity requirement required by accrediting organizations.

Official Continuing Education Statements and Availability 

Continuing education credit is granted to registered attendees who complete the webinar.

American College of Medical Practice Executives (ACMPE) 

This program is approved as a live learning event for ACMPE continuing education hours. A cumulative total of 50 ACMPE continuing education credit hours is among the requirements for attaining the Certified Medical Practice Executive (CMPE) credential. To maintain CMPE or Fellow status, you must earn 50 hours of qualifying credit hours every three years, of which 30 hours must come from MGMA national, state or local offerings, including 12 from a live learning event.

One ACMPE credit is earned for every 60 minutes of educational content, rounded down to the nearest 0.25. 

ACHE Qualified Education 

By attending 2021 Medicare Update webinar offered by the Medical Group Management Association, participants may earn up to 1 ACHE Qualified Education Hour toward initial certification or recertification of the Fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives (FACHE) designation. 
 
One ACHE credit is earned for every 60 minutes of educational content, rounded down to the nearest 0.25.

Continuing Education Units (CEU) 

A certificate of attendance will be provided to healthcare professionals requesting generic CEUs for professional development, certifications through other professional associations or specialty societies.

Matt Devino

Matt Devino, MPH

Associate Director, Government Affairs, MGMA

Matt serves as an Associate Director for MGMA Government Affairs in Washington, DC. In his primary role as a Government Affairs member liaison, he works to inform membership of the federal rules and regulations impacting medical group practices around the country. He works closely with MGMA state affiliate chapters in the Eastern and Western regions to organize grassroots efforts and is a frequent speaker at state and national meetings. 

Before joining MGMA, Matt was a senior research analyst at The Health Management Academy, a health system executive member organization based in Arlington, Va. In that role, Matt conducted strategic research and market analyses on topics relevant to the nation's leading health systems and top healthcare industry companies. 

Matt holds a master of public health degree with a health policy and management focus from The George Washington University and a bachelor's degree in human developmental and regenerative biology from Harvard University. 



Drew Voytal

Drew Voytal, MPA

Associate Director, Government Affairs, MGMA

Drew serves as an Associate Director for MGMA Government Affairs in Washington DC. In his primary role as a Government Affairs member liaison, he works to inform membership of the federal rules and regulations impacting medical group practices around the country. He works closely with MGMA state affiliate chapters to organize grassroots efforts and is a frequent speaker at state and national meetings.   

When he is not meeting with members or speaking at conferences, Drew works to create learning resources for both MGMA members as well as members of congress and administration officials.  

Drew holds a master of public administration with a healthcare administration focus, and a bachelor’s degree in political science, both from Western Michigan University. 

Webinars are delivered live using online web conferencing software, which allows you to interact directly with presenters and colleagues through your web browser.

This webinar will consist of a 75-minute presentation and question-and-answer session.
