Beginning Jan. 1, 2021, the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) will implement changes to Medicare physician payment, including reimbursement updates and changes to value-based initiatives.
Join MGMA government affairs staff for a preview of what to look for in 2021. Attendees will gain insights about payment and documentation changes for E/M office visits and other payment issues outlined in the Medicare Physician Fee Schedule final rule. American College of Medical Practice Executives (ACMPE)
This program is approved as a live learning event for ACMPE continuing education hours. A cumulative total of 50 ACMPE continuing education credit hours is among the requirements for attaining the Certified Medical Practice Executive (CMPE) credential. To maintain CMPE or Fellow status, you must earn 50 hours of qualifying credit hours every three years, of which 30 hours must come from MGMA national, state or local offerings, including 12 from a live learning event.

webinar offered by the Medical Group Management Association, participants may earn up to 1 ACHE Qualified Education Hour toward initial certification or recertification of the Fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives (FACHE) designation.

Matt serves as an Associate Director for MGMA Government Affairs in Washington, DC. In his primary role as a Government Affairs member liaison, he works to inform membership of the federal rules and regulations impacting medical group practices around the country. He works closely with MGMA state affiliate chapters in the Eastern and Western regions to organize grassroots efforts and is a frequent speaker at state and national meetings.
Before joining MGMA, Matt was a senior research analyst at The Health Management Academy, a health system executive member organization based in Arlington, Va. In that role, Matt conducted strategic research and market analyses on topics relevant to the nation's leading health systems and top healthcare industry companies.
Matt holds a master of public health degree with a health policy and management focus from The George Washington University and a bachelor's degree in human developmental and regenerative biology from Harvard University.
Drew serves as an Associate Director for MGMA Government Affairs in Washington DC. In his primary role as a Government Affairs member liaison, he works to inform membership of the federal rules and regulations impacting medical group practices around the country. He works closely with MGMA state affiliate chapters to organize grassroots efforts and is a frequent speaker at state and national meetings.
When he is not meeting with members or speaking at conferences, Drew works to create learning resources for both MGMA members as well as members of congress and administration officials.
Drew holds a master of public administration with a healthcare administration focus, and a bachelor’s degree in political science, both from Western Michigan University.
