Customer service is of utmost importance in any customer-facing organization. The MGMA Customer Service online course provides practical guidance on improving interactions and customer satisfaction as well as developing and implementing customer service action plans.


The course first addresses the basics of customer service and explores the following questions:

  • What is customer service and who are the customers?
  • Why teach and preach customer service?
  • How does customer service affect a medical practice?


After exploring basic customer service topics, you will be able to put your knowledge to the test and explore how to employ effective customer service tactics in your organization.

At the end of this course, you will be able to:

  • Discuss the value of quality customer service as it pertains to your practice, patients, staff and physicians
  • Identify and better understand customer needs and expectations
  • Analyze patient satisfaction surveys
  • Apply knowledge gained from patient satisfaction surveys to your practice to improve customer service

American College of Medical Practice Executives (ACMPE)

ACMPECredit continues to be a free member benefit for Certified Medical Practice Executives (CMPEs) and Fellows in the American College of Medical Practice Executives (FACMPEs) and can be claimed on these members' ACMPE transcripts.

ACMPE credit is available to MGMA members who are enrolled in the Association’s credentialing program. Learn more about ACMPE credit.

One ACMPE credit is earned for every 60 minutes of educational contact, rounded down to the nearest 0.25.

Continuing Education Units (CEU)

Generic CEU certificates of attendance are available to registered eLearning participants who complete the course as described above.

Self-paced study

Training courses purchased but not yet started will be eligible for a refund minus a $30 setup cost within 90 days from the date of purchase. Fees cannot be refunded once the program has been started or completed.

Cancellation

If for any reason MGMA must cancel this program, MGMA will notify participants by email of the cancellation no less than five business days prior to the cancellation of the program. Full registration fees will be refunded in full within 90 days of the cancellation.
