Fellowship Submission Process
Step 1: Apply and choose your topic
The objective of Fellowship in ACMPE is to demonstrate the skills and abilities that contribute to the advancement of medical practice leadership and the healthcare industry. By undertaking Fellowship, your business plan should demonstrate that you are:
- A thought leader capable of identifying key improvement areas for the sustainability and success of an organization.
- An innovative thinker able to manage change in the complex healthcare environment.
- A proven problem-solver qualified to tackle the greatest challenges in a healthcare organization.
Your topic should identify a problem in healthcare, either widespread, specific to a demographic, etc. You should be able to research the topic enough to propose a solution, including the challenges of completing it as well. Be sure to apply for Fellowship prior to submitting a proposal.
Step 2: Submit your business plan proposal

Submit and receive approval of a business plan proposal, complete each section to ensure your plan completes the Fellowship objective.
Send all proposals and submissions to firstname.lastname@example.org.
You will receive an email confirmation within 3-7 business days of receipt and delivery to your review team. You will receive feedback and next steps within three weeks of delivery from your review team on the ACMPE Fellowship Submission Committee.
Step 3: Complete your business plan
Upon review of your proposal, you will receive a template and grading sheet for your business plan. You will have two years from your application approval date to complete your final business plan.

You will receive an email confirmation within 3-7 business days of receipt and delivery to your review team. You will receive feedback and next steps within four weeks of delivery from your review team on the ACMPE Fellowship Submission Committee.
The ACMPE Fellowship Submission Committee accepts submissions for review throughout the year between January-October. However, to be recognized as a new Fellow at the Convocation held in conjunction with the MGMA Annual Conference, you must submit your final business plan for review no later than the deadline established each year.
You have two years from the date of application acceptance to submit your business plan. Otherwise, your application will and all of your progress will expire.
