Human Resource Management and Organizational Governance are both covered in this course. These courses represent two of the eight performance domains as defined in the 2nd Edition of the Body of Knowledge for Medical Practice Management.

The intent of this module is to introduce you to some of the basics principles of Human Resource (HR) Management. Upon completion of this section, you are encouraged to take the ACMPE assessment in Human Resource Management.

This module focuses on Human Resource Management. Your practice can have a great location, a beautiful facility, and cutting-edge technology. But without the right people, the right management and the right training it will never reach its financial and patient care goals.

Some group practice may be large enough that support is provided by an HR Director or staff. In smaller practices, the administrator may perform many or all of these duties. In either situation, the content and associated tasks in this section are pertinent to the role of a medical group practice administrator. This module also introduces you to the governance and leadership required to operate a successful medical practice.
