MGMA member testifies May 8 on recommended change to Medicare Advantage program

On May 8, Mona Reimers, CMPE, CPC, represented MGMA in a hearing before the U.S. House of Representatives Small Business Committee examining the operational impact of Medicare physician fee cuts on medical group practices. Reimers, an MGMA member and president of Indiana MGMA, is director, Revenue Services, Orthopaedics NorthEast PC, Fort Wayne, Ind. She was invited to testify in response to increased MGMA member concerns regarding the flawed Medicare physician payment and growing operational burdens associated with the Medicare Advantage program.
