First Time Attendee / Buddy Luncheon

Noon-1:30 p.m.
This program is designed to pair first-time attendees with MGMA APA veterans. You make this connection as interactive as meets your needs. Some like to connect throughout the conference, to dine together, and learn together while others prefer a more simple approach such as having an opportunity to receive information about the assembly and the academic special-interest groups (ASIGs). Don't miss our prize drawing. Bring your business cards and be sure to indicate on the registration form that this is the first MGMA APA conference you have attended.
Liaison Luncheon
Monday, April 26
12:15 p.m.-1:15 p.m.
This liaison appreciation luncheon is open to all members who have served as liaisons for their institutions to the MGMA APA. The liaison program is designed to promote membership at each academic institution and provide current member and survey contact information to MGMA. You assistance with these responsibilities at your institution during the past year has been greatly appreciated. Come join your liaison colleagues for food, networking, and brainstorming ideas as to how APA can improve the liaison program and provide support to you in this role. You also won't want to miss our prize drawing! Be sure to indicate on your registration form your desire to attend this luncheon.

Extend your networking online
You've told us that networking with colleagues is one of the greatest benefits of attending an MGMA conference, and we encourage you to use the online community to extend your networking opportunities beyond your time in Austin.
On registering for the conference, you will be automatically added to the Academic Practice Management Conference online community. The community features an integrated e-mail/online discussion board, resource library to share documents and a directory to help you get in touch with other colleagues attending the conference. Electronic session handouts will be available in the resource library two weeks prior to the conference and for one month afterward.
The online community provides an excellent venue for:
- Finding out who else is attending so you can make plans to meet
- Providing feedback to speakers about the issues that concern you and what you'd like them to address in their session
- Receiving updates and additional information about the event
- Staying in contact with other attendees after the event
