About the ACMPE Scholarship Fund, Inc. (SFI)

Purpose

The ACMPE Scholarship Fund, Inc. is a 501c3 charitable organization created for the purpose of supporting and promoting healthcare leaders’ personal and professional growth in support of the advancement of the profession. The program supports individuals who, by virtue of experience, current position and plans, demonstrate potential for contributing to the medical practice management profession.

Scholarship Eligibility

Students must be enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate degree program relevant to medical practice management, including public health, business administration, healthcare administration and other related areas.

The scholarships are not intended to support individuals pursuing degrees in medicine, physical therapy, nursing or other clinically related professions. To be eligible to receive a scholarship, students must be enrolled in a degree program for the coming academic year.

Scholarship Award Amounts

Scholarship award amounts are typically $2,500, and on occasion may range from $1,000 to $5,000. Payments are sent directly to the university or college in which the individual is or will be enrolled. The ACMPE Scholarship Fund, Inc. reserves the right to not make awards subject to market impact on investment earnings.

Annual Scholarship Timeline

  • February – Scholarship information and application posted on mgma.com
  • May 1 – Scholarship application deadline
  • May – July – Scholarship selection process
  • September – Notification sent to scholarship recipients

Scholarship Committees

SFI maintains a Scholarship Review Committee and Scholarship Advisory Committees that review scholarship applications and recommend recipients to the SFI Board of Directors. The committees conduct their work between April-July of each year.
